19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been won on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player claimed his initial trophy for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a torrid period, winning just one win at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in specific - caused him dropping out of the top ten and eventually parting ways with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first title since the Italian tournament and initial on a hard court from that period of the previous year.
The win also signifies the Russian has secured 21 titles at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my both daughters at once, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his last six championship matches, including in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive approach and regular reactions on the playing surface had prompted commentators to wonder if his capacity to perform at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to advance forward and perform positively, backed up by an better serve.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, winning four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors exchanged break points in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour championship, took control to create a third set.
Moutet rescued 4 initial opportunities in a tight third set before the champion broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned victory with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
